Mary Bannon
Principal Designer, B.S.B.A, M.B.A., M.Ed, ASID
Historic Preservation Committee Commissioner 2024- present
My career began in market research for consumer and media companies (National Geographic and The Washington Post) and then moved to website design research. After my son lost his vision, I earned a second Master's degree and switched my focus to teach navigation and transportation skills to people with low vision. While certainly in different industries, all of these positions have a common element -- how we use the space we have, given the tools we have. Designing interiors is no different. How do you create a space, a room, a home, that function as well as inspires you? After working with Johker Design in Annapolis on several large projects, I am now pursuing my passion for design and renovation. Related interests of mine are serving as a Commissioner on the Historic Preservation Commission for downtown Annapolis (H.P.C.) I completed the two-year design degree program in the School of Architecture and Interior Design at A.A.C.C. in 2024 and have had my business since 2021.
